Beers with the Dojo Guru

Alex’ flight went haywire, so the meeting is off.

Alex Russell is coming to Amsterdam for XTech, so here’s your chance to drink a beer with the guy! Suggestions for locations are welcomed (I hardly know Amsterdam), suggested time is 20:00.

We’re going for dinner at 18:00 on Monday or whereabouts at Café de Jaren, and onwards with the beer from there.

See you there!

P.S. I’m contemplating going to Ajax day, should I?

  1. The same place as the one we want to with Peter-Paul Koch? Not sure I can find it again though :-) Also, do you have any plans for dinner tomorrow? We could meetup around 18:00 in Amsterdam or so.

  2. Good idea. Café de Jaren it is. Let’s go there for dinner as well.

  3. Sure. See you at Amsterdam Centraal.

  4. I’d love to join you for some drinks, but what day would this be?

  5. How silly, I forgot the day! It’s today, actually.

  6. I just heard that Alex’ flight got messed up, so he won’t make it. The meeting is off, let’s just have fun at BarCamp!

  7. Don’t be silly. A beer is a beer, with or without Alex. Relevance is a topic that can be disputed by many others- At least Andy and I are going to the Jaren (or if no one complains we’ll secretly move the entre nous to the Buurvrouw), and I suppose that Ryan and Zbigniew?v? are coming too.

On the other hand, don’t you live in Enschede? That might be a bit of a trip.

  8. Nadya, you are totally right, but I’m not organizing this if I’m not going ;-) Two hour trip indeed.

  9. What time does BarCamp begin actually?

  11. I can’t find where it gives the time, just the date seems to be mentioned.

  12. Click on the date ;-)

  13. Ha! I did…I just never thought that the time would go behind the date in the title…

  14. So, did you go to Ajax day? I don’t remember seeing you there. If you didn’t, you didn’t miss much — except for my own presentation ;) — it was mostly product presentations and fairly obvious stuff.

  15. Hey Menno, I wasn’t quite willing to spend € 160 for Ajax presentations, so no :)
